Looking for: (hardware) word processor recommendations!

Is there such a thing as a word processing device that:

Isn't as expensive or deliberately missing basic features as the Freewrite
Doesn't have a massive printer built in
Isn't an AlphaSmart (I just really don't like the aesthetics on those?)

I've tried the USB-OTG keyboard → phone thing, and it's OK, but I'm just curious about whether any suitable Devices That Just Type And That's It exist.
