Long Beach is an incredibly difficult track, but I managed to show a lot of pace in Qualifying. I tried to continue that pace in the race, but the car didn't seem to hold up too well after a few laps and I binned it a couple times. Budget constraints leave us with just one option: DUCT TAPE AND FRANKENBUMPER!
Slowbird Vintage Used Sports Car Emporium & Warehouse had a spare front bumper they lent us, but the fenders were much harder to find. A nardo gray bumper and a couple rolls of speed tape later, we've got a car that barely passes tech for next week's finale at Okayama!
Qualified 7th with a 1:17.455, finished in 8th to capture 4 more championship points. We're looking forward to the next race so we can hopefully keep the car clean and bring home a top five. I have the speed, I just need to keep it clean!
(also the car is for sale, gently used, $45,945. no low ballers, i know what i got)
