So here's my dilemma: I don't have time to handle hosting a full custom website for an indie studio from the ground up with HTTPS, SSL Certs, etc, on it, so I need to set something up for people without PHP/database knowledge to handle. I can go the route of Miraheze, TiddlyWiki, or (god forbid) Fandom, but I want to prevent just anyone from inserting their headcanons as fact on these pages ahead of time (AKA approve certain editors).
I've been taking a closer look at Neocities today and trying to figure out if I can make a sort of faux-wiki system on it, and while I've seen some websites tagged with wiki on it, I don't see any templates to set it up easily, which means I'll have to cobble something together on my own or pay someone to do so. Before I go all in with that though, I'm hoping there's an easier alternative. Paying for something is not out of the question but I'd prefer not to have to subscribe to something other than paying for the domain name itself.
Other details:
- The front page should be static and not in a wiki format
- Several pages will act as official presskits for games
- If possible, I'd like to have subdomain pages as
gamename.companyname.domainnamethenwiki.gamename.companyname.domainname
Please let me know if there are any other details you may need. Thank you in advance!
