realized i never actually finished all the main chapters of DOOM II so I'm gonna do that, but I'm not sure how I want to go about it, there are so many ways.

I thought about porting the WAD into Brutal Doom Black Edition but at that point it's a very different thing from the original game, so I'll goof around with that afterwards.

I have an original disc I could play on my XP machine, or I could just run it in some other source port like GZ or crispy or whatever on my main machine. Or hell, those most recent console ports are great. I just played through DOOM 64 on PS5 lol.

found a butterfly wing.

i found it while i was trying to console my cat (there was this whole thing with the laundry horse and him getting tangled in a bra and then the dog wouldn't leave him alone) i started to mindlessly break the dried leaves (on the ground) while i was explaining to him i was going inside and he is welcome to join me. i then was all like soz my sentence must be cut short that leave looks awfully like a butterfly wing. almost got my arm clawed off trying to grab it (it was by his face) (btw he is hiding my the woodshed so the ground is all dirt and rocks and wood and dried (brown) leaves) anyway it was a (monarch) butterfly wing. there's like a huge chunk missing and it's all dry and crumbling. there wasn't another or the body but i may look again. it my be caught up in the cat's tail (it's full of leaves and other things (more leaves) we (i) haven't been able to get them out yet cause he's been enjoying the outside and being a bit fiesty (i think the visitors totally disturbed his routine last week))

i am working on a management sim and i need design inspiration. my current big inspirations are frostpunk and dwarf fortress. i am especially looking for weird and off the beaten path stuff. jp-only is not only allowed, it's encouraged. especially interested in anything you think has a distinctive or cool visual style to its user interface design.
