One thing that would help us online is not to assume the post you are reading necessarily means the bad take you think it does. Not everyone is a professional communicator and the people who are still fuck up all the time. As someone trained in communication I know this too well.
Off the cuff remarks are the bane of nuanced or well put together takes. the vast majority of posts are off the cuff and space limited (this is exceptionally true for websites like twitter). You will say something stupid or say something perceived entirely different from what you meant. It's not an iff but a when.
This is where patience and kindness is a rather important skill to have. It's hard because we are programmed to assume the worst out of everyone, and we go looking for it.
This is the thing with Milkshake Duck. Someone does not Milkshake Duck themselves people are Milkshake Ducked. What I mean is if anyone gets any level of notoriety for literally anything there is a strong possibility people will go digging for fuck ups and the fact is if you dig long enough and deep enough into virtually anyone you will find the bad stuff you are looking for. People are perpetual fuck ups it's in our nature. We have to have a certain level of long suffering with each other. Patience and kindness are a virtue.
