hello! i'm mika, i use she/her pronouns and this is my mandatory #welcometocohost "i'm finally out of cohost jail" celebration post chost. i signed up during the musk-induced exodus from you-know-where, which wasn't much of a departure at all as most of us are still on twitter dot hell and cohost promptly put us in quarantine (understandable, i have bird-rabies), but that's okay. i don't plan to use cohost the way i use twitter.

i don't quite know what i want out of cohost, but it's definitely not "a twitter replacement" or anything of that sort. mercifully, i don't think this site even has the infrastructure to facilitate an algorithmic nightmare of equal proportions. eggbug is my friend.

oh, but i've gained quite a few followers here! i was not anticipating this and have made separate private pages for discussing topics i don't necessarily think are appropriate for general audiences. i'll still be using decalcomania as my main page for posting and sharing anything that interests me (bts, pop culture, css/html, memes and random eggbuggery), so don't feel like you need to follow my other pages to keep up with me if they aren't of interest.

other accounts:

  • private: jeon šŸ”’ (please make sure i know who you are before following me on my private, thank you!)
  • au/fic reading: ending šŸ”’ (only if we are in the same fandoms and you separate fiction from reality, please šŸ’ž)

The inner vexillology nerd in me craved more interestingly shaped pride flags, so I made some!I view gender as an liquid, as such its shape conforms to which container it is in. For some the container was simply misplaced in the wrong category, others change their container (once or sometimes more!), or disregard the container entirely! So I felt a wave was a nice way to represent this fluid nature! As "Transgender" is typically considered a umbrella term, I also included many other varients!
