I don't just collect comic books I also have quite a few retro big box PC games, so straight from my personal collection comes Hal Barwood's siminal Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. I absolutely love this game. I played the demo over and over when it released. I was very much looking forward to the PlayStation release before it was cancelled.

Released in November of 1999 Infernal Machine was a sequal of sorts to Fate of Atlantis. At first glimpse it may appear to be a Tomb Raider clone, and while it shares many similarities to the series it's not a stright forward clone. For instance Infernal Machine has a lot of Adventure Game elements to it. Early levels are fairly basic with some light puzzle solving focusing primarily on traversal and combat, but as you get further in the game you will find yourself aplying adventure game logic to try to solve the puzzles and move your quest forward. I will post a video I. made of just one of the levels for you to get a taste of it.

This is a fun game I can't recommend enough and you can easily pick it up DRM free on GOG.

The year is 1947. The Nazis have been crushed, the Cold War has begun and Soviet agents are sniffing around the ruins of the fabled Tower of Babel. What are they up to? The CIA recruits renowned archeologist and adventurer, Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, to find out. Grab your whip and fedora and join Indy in an epic globe-spanning race in search of the mysterious "Infernal Machine."

  • Experience an action-adventure epic starring Indiana Jones.

  • Whip, leap, run, swim and crawl your way through amazing 3D environments.

  • Puzzle your way through 17 chapters of a gripping, action-packed story.

  • Explore dozens of exotic locales, from the mysterious ruins of Babylon to the labyrinths of the Nubian kings.

  • Choose all the weapons you'll ever want, including post-WWII-era assault rifles, Red-Army machine guns, bazookas, satchel charges and, of course, Indy's trusty whip and pistol.

  • Outwit enemies including Communist goons, strange monsters, robot guardians and more.

Just adding this here, but these are some fun screenshots taken from the Infernal Machine official website. I always like looking at the system requirements for these older games, because it is like a blast from the past in PC Parts. I miss games having these dedicated sites. A lot of games now may get a splash page on the developer site, but not a lot of games have full websites anymore. They still exist just a bit rarer.

quickly switch between fronters using a nice interface, edit past switches with a drag and drop timeline, enter friends system id's to see who's currently fronting, edit groups' members

suggested use-case is to use on mobile and "install" or "add to homescreen" from your browser for the easiest access

(please rechost for visibility, there are a lot of plural ppl on this site!)
