According to my school, I am supposed to be at school for 6 hours 30 minutes then go home and do homework for an average of 3 hours a night.

This adds up to a total of 9 hours 30 minutes of time spent working on schoolwork.

The average hours employed people spent working on weekdays in 2021 was 8 hours.

My school expects me to work for 1 hour 30 minutes more per day than the average adult.

I am not an average adult I am a neurodivergent teenager.

This number makes no fucking sense. I do not understand it.

So I'd like to preface this with something: I'm not a programmer or UI designer whatsoever, so I don't know if my suggestion is any good or easy to do or worthwhile doing. So please, don't take this too seriously.

With that said, one thing that would help me a bit is if the drop down menu of my account's pages had a bit that told me if that page has any notifications, and if so, how many.

Now this part is pure speculation and is probably wrong, but it might put a tiny bit less strain on the site. I pretty frequently switch pages to check for notifications, which means loading things from that page's point of view. It makes me feel a bit guilty for putting that extra strain on poor Eggbug, especially when it's just my brain trying to get that serotonin from a number appearing next to notifications. That's just a guess though, for all I know implementing this would put even more strain on the system.

I made a quick edit of a screen capture to show what I had in mind. Image 1 is the unedited screenshot of the drop down menu, and image 2 is the edited one. In image 2, it adds a green dot next to the @ name and a number to indicate the number of notifications that page has.

Anyway, thanks for reading! Sorry if this is presumptuous, or if you've already been working on this, or if someone else suggested this without me knowing
