anyway, i definitely remember having a secret rule to myself to not follow more people than follow me. i'm not sure why. it made me look desperate? it was a faux pas? i like to see the numbers in ascending order?

i probably subconsciously didn't follow cool people other places* cause i was like "wait but if i follow too many people yadda yadda"

at least here, i could be following 10x the number of followers and no one would know. doesn't fix the core of the issue of "why do i even care about this." but at least i can worry less about, like, participating. it's still in like the back of my head though.
