please just use the open folder feature with cmake presets, i'm begging you. "but i don't understand cmake" counter point: you don't understand msbuild either. you trapped yourself in this maze. you think you've escaped the horrors of exiting vim, but you've merely taken the jail and expanded the walls.

you are asking me to crank the handle to your own meat grinder. youre asking me to do a nuzlocke with an apom and a detective pikachu. youre asking me to play a no parry no roll no block run of dark souls prepare to die edition with gfw still enabled and no framerate mods. this hell. pure and utter hell.

noam chomsky and foucault were right

I've been using Cohost on a daily basis for the last 7 days (got an account back in early August, but then forgot about it whoops), and here are my thoughts so far:

-The interactions on here have been much more plentiful AND much more meaningful than what I experienced on average on Twitter. Now, I didn't have a huge number of followers on there so there's a bit of bias, but despite Cohost's comparatively smaller userbase/size and the lack of algorithm, I don't feel like I'm shouting into the void at all times. And maybe it's due to to those very reasons that the "engagement" (yuck, bad word) is better quality?

-I'm actively seeking out and interacting with other users as well based on interests and whatnot, like WAY more than any other website in the last decade (notably: Tumblr, Pillowfort, Twitter). I've missed curating my experiences online this way. I have already met some very cool dudes, and I look forward to meeting more AND getting to know y'all better!

-Really stoked on this trend of not developing apps for many, many reasons. Like so many reasons. Fuck apps and app stores.

-The shitposts have been fun and clever and have their own unique flavoring on here.

tl;dr I like it here a lot, been having fun
