It closes its eyes. The doors to the world shut. It drifts in the ether, returning to restless slumber. Its mind continues to dream knowing it will lack outlet to touch the souls of others. Its grand form, black and betentacled, streaked with red lightning and black storms. It broadcasts to its lovers, worshippers, and kind onlookers its well wishes and appreciation.

As the eyes covering its body begin to close and turbulent sleep settles it dreams of better days ahead. Its mind full of hope to open another portal to the minds of many. It wishes those dark things hiding from the cursed light might find it, take sheltered under it. Its growing shadow and shroud of purest dark a protective cloak from judgement and hatred.

It welcomes all creatures of dark a place to be safe and accepted, loved and embraced, appreciated and cared for. It dreams that it may make its clarion call and spread acceptance finally again.

It is not gone from you, not forever, it is waiting to connect once more.
