#great news

Got some good news this week. Could also call it great! My husband had a very good performance review earlier this year where they gave him a raise and said a more substantial raise was coming in a few months. They came through and he got somewhere between a 15-20% raise. This is great cause it'll really offset the begging I'll be doing to help with surgery costs once my liver transplant is a go.

The second piece of good news came yesterday. I just went live and started talking to chat during my stream and my phone rang. It was my boss. I had to take the call. So I muted the mic and answered the phone. He had something he had to tell me. This usually is a preface for bad news. Then he tells me that our admin agreed to give me a raise. I've been at the same hourly pay for years now. I've been part-time since September 2019. The raise amount equated to... 15% as well. I was just like wha?!?!? I had said something to my boss some months ago about still being at $XX/hr., and that I appreciate they've been working with my illness by allowing me to work from home the last 3 years, but that doesn't change that the cost of living has risen. I just figured I was whining into the void. Raises are rare at my employer. So, I was shocked and damn my day just got better after that. I was able to put more energy into yesterday's stream of Call Hating because this news of raises has made my monetary concerns with the transplant less.

Onto Call Hating. This game is fun. It's frustrating as FUCK, but when I figured out a piece of the puzzle I was reinvigorated to keep going. I kinda hit a wall near the end of stream and decided I'll try again on Friday. In the meantime I decided to check and see if I could find anything online that would help. I ended up joining the dev's Discord. I didn't say much of anything. Just popped in and lurked. I woke up with a response from the dev saying they watched my VOD. They asked if I needed a hint. Of course my answer was yes. And when they gave me a hint I immediately face palmed. I was on the right track to progressing but needed to do something I didn't try. So I'll be back at it tomorrow at my usual time. Oh and they'll be watching at some point. Which is a small eep knowing I'll be watched, but also pretty awesome. I apparently had found a few bugs that I thought were intentional due to the nature of the game. XD

That's what I have for now. Figured I would share. :)
