after i finished souls weighed i kind of want to develop my own like. gundam oc setting... this is the protagonist, mileseo roskyis, who is legally distinct from any extremely minor ffxiv character i may have completely made up characterization for. i think mileseo pilots the gundam opus, or maybe the gundam lapis, because i also love historical alchemy motifs

it's always really striking to me how the climax of gundam 0079 is just as much about sayla as it is about amuro or char... "you're an adult now. it's time to stop playing war" really feels like a thematic summation of gundam as a whole. the shot of sayla reaching out for him with his broken helmet floating away is so iconic to me... and then she has to leave, and go back to her friends on the white base, and live.
