Pend was part of the crew of the vessel Band Light, which was suspected of privateering during the reign of the Galactic Empire. At some point before or during 1 BBY, he and the rest of the crew of the Band Light were checking out an Etti-class light transport that was floating adrift near the planet Ord Mantell, when he died. He was checking for smuggled goods in a ventilation shaft near the galley on the light transport when he was beheaded by an Imperial Terror Trooper. When his body was found, it was suspected by the captain and the other crew members that something had dislodged on the ship, fallen, and killed him.

Pend was mentioned in the "Terror Trooper" entry in the in-game databank of the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 versions of the LucasArts video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, which was released on October 26, 2010.

Mareena was a female Tholothian mechanic who lived on the river moon of Al'doleem.

Mareena married Jogg at some point in her life and had two children, Colli and his sister. Years before the Imperial Era, Jedi Master Kirak Infil'a paid them to take care of his ship during his time under the barash vow.

In 19 BBY, she and Colli were busy at work when Infil'a came back. She expressed her shock and said that she hadn't seen him in years. He requested that she give him back his ship. She said that she had to fix it up, but it wouldn't take too long and asked if he was in a rush.. Infil'a said that he was a Jedi, and that the Galactic Empire was hunting them down. Mareena replied that she heard about that and that was why they weren't sure if he was ever coming back and said that she never believed that the Jedi were traitors.

Infil'a told them that he had an encounter with a Sith Lord, who tried to hunt him down, but Infil'a eliminated him himself. Then, he told them he wanted to also eliminate the Emperor and restore peace to the galaxy. Just then, Jogg came out with their other child and asked if everything was all right as he had heard voices. Mareena replied that everything was good and that Infil'a had come back. After Jogg expressed his surprise, Infil'a told them to get started fixing the ship. Mareena replied that she would, but asked Infil'a if the Sith would come to them, but Infil'a gave his assurances that Vader was dead.

While Mareena and Jogg fixed the ship, Infil'a entertained them by using the Force on several materials. He told them of his plan to rebuild the Jedi Order and how he might come back to tell them of its mysteries. Then, he felt Vader coming and dropped the materials, worrying the family. When Mareena asked what had happened, Infil'a replied that he was sure it was nothing and that he'd come and check.

Vader challenged him to a lightsaber duel. At first, Mareena couldn't figure out who the figure was, but then Colli suggested to her that it was the Sith. Infil'a told them all to get back to the garage and fix the ship, but Mareena asked what he was going to do, and he replied by taking out his lightsaber and said that he was going to end Vader. Mareena raced back to the garage and continued fixing the ship.

Thanks to Ki'rak's warning, the ship was ready for launch by the time the city began to flood shortly after, allowing her and Jogg to put their two children into the ship and save them from the waters despite Mareena and Jogg ultimately perishing from the flood.

Mareena had blue eyes and light skin. She wore a Tholoth headdress. She didn't believe that the Jedi were traitors and was in good terms with Kirak Infil'a.

Mareena specialized in mechanics, opening a garage and helped fix Infil'a's ship.

Mareena first appeared in Darth Vader (2017) 4, a 2017 canon comic written by Charles Soule and penciled by Giuseppe Camuncoli.

Jillian was a botanist who lived during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Jillian was murdered on Kashyyyk by the Canopy bandits.

Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, Jillian was part of a group of researchers who came to the planet Kashyyyk in order to study the local flora. They set up a camp in the wilderness of the planet, north of the city of Kachirho. Although the botanists knew that this world could be a unsafe place, they were decided to study the Kashyyykian plant life. During their mission, the researchers used a radio to communicate with other scientists based off-world, including a man named Lisum. Lisum was particularly close to Jillian and the man had tried to convince the latter not to go to Kashyyyk because he was afraid something could happen to them.

In 1 ABY, the dangerous Canopy bandits attacked and destroyed the research camp. The criminals abducted the researchers and brought them captive to their camp for ransom. However, for some reason, they eventually executed all the scientists, including Jillian, Bathoz and Rengar.

Following the murder of the botanists, Lisum tried desperately to contact the research camp but without success. A short time later, a group of spacers discovered the destroyed camp. While investigating the camp site, a spacer was contacted over the radio by Lisum. The spacer accepted to help to uncover the researchers' fate and the adventurers therefore searched the camp for clues. When one of the spacers found the word "Canopy" written on a dented drum, Lisum immediately understood that the scientists had been taken by the Canopy bandits. He thus requested the spacers to find the Canopy bandit's camp where his colleagues where likely held captive. The adventurers explored the area and finally found the bandit's lair. However, it was already too late and they only found the corpses of the dead scientists in the camp. Enraged, Lisum asked them to make the criminals pay for what they did. The spacers eventually killed fifteen Canopy bandits out of vengeance.

Jillian was first mentioned in the 2005 expansion pack Rage of the Wookiees for the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.

In the game, the name Jillian was mentioned in the quest dialogue along with the names of two other colleagues. When the player was tasked with investigating the Canopy Bandits' camp, they would discover the dead bodies of two of the researchers, a Human man and woman. However, there was no indication of the identity of the corpses. Nevertheless, the story implied that Jillian was a woman involved in a romantic relationship with Lisum.
