Of the movies I’ve watched on Hinge Problems, I’m going to go with From Here to Eternity. It’s loaded with Hayes Code Compliant heavily implied sex scenes, including the incredibly famous Beach Kiss that manages to both be X-Rated and totally PG at the same time.

But the secret roping undercurrent between the two male leads, where every conversation has a simmering undercurrent of homosexual desire. Two men who can only really understand each other sublimating this attraction into doomed relationships with women until both of them ultimately are bound by their personal codes to the inevitable end.

Honorable mention for A Wing and a Prayer, who’s entire cast is soaked for like half the movie and nearly every shot is framed in a very gay gaze kinda way, especially this one scene where a dude puts on a shirt. Trust me. It was weirdly hot.
