hey quick q, why exactly did the author of scott pilgrim make Knives a high schooler? i realize that the level of fucked up that an adult man dating a high schooler is was not as widely recognized back then. he was not prevented from making his protaganist date a high schooler by the understanding that this is a monstrous and traumatizing thing to do to a child, and he may not have thought his protagonist should be utterly reviled and unredeemable for these actions, bc no one gives a shit or has ever given a shit about teenage girls' trauma. But why do it in the first place??? I just feel like you could have made Knives 19 instead of 17 and had basically the same story
