and i'm really enjoying it! i don't mention it often but wings of fire is my favorite book series, though i ended up dropping it for a while after the second arc ended. getting back into the series with a more discerning eye has been interesting, and in between everything else (i love the characters storywriting worldbuilding etc.) i think there's one thing that really made the series stand out to me, which is just all the small details they include about BEING a dragon.

small details will be included about parts of their homes for their daily lives, gestures they'll make with their bodies, and even just the sounds certain species make when they walk. it really brings the world to life in a way that i don't remember any other book series (or possibly even any other media) resonate with me in the same way. cuz i don't care about detailed descriptions of the random landscapes eragon*, i want to hear about what it's like to be a dragon!!!
