the various dragon tribes are now corresponding flavors of lizard

• mudwings --> caramel lizards (large, heavy, a little sluggish)
• sandwings --> blue lizards (rw doesn't really have any good equivalents among its lizard roster, probably because of the titular rain, so they get generic lizard)
• seawings --> eel lizards (chosen over salamanders bc they're cooler (and also unambiguously lizards))
• skywings --> cyan lizards (found in high places, very good at flying)
• rainwings --> white lizards (camo scales)
• icewings --> strawberry lizards (cold weather affinity)
• nightwings --> yellow lizards (telepathy)
• animus dragons --> iterators (i feel like this one is also obvious)
• i don't have any ideas for the pantala dragons sorry ¯_(ツ)_/¯

humans/"scavengers" are now scavengers (shocker i know)

nightwings now use the even more pretentious ancient/iterator naming schemes
for instance:

• "darkstalker" --> "hunting shadows"
• "starflight" --> "sixteen falling stars"
• "morrowseer" --> "shining sunrises"
• "clearsight" --> "innumerable crystalline eyes"
  and, of course, last but not least...
• "moonwatcher" --> "looks to the moon"
