i'm very glad that there's been such a cultural shift towards longform content on youtube. it feels like such a relief to see that that's what people prefer, given the short-form-ification of basically every other corner of the web. like yeah they're trying to ruin it with Shorts or whatever but the fact remains that people love to sit down and watch a two-hour video about the themes and design of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. and idk i'm just really glad this is the case. Like it has to be a good thing right? Or maybe we do it because we need it, because we crave having some sort of outlet where we can focus on one topic for a long time, or at least have someone else focus on it for us
