in the UK there was a program to detain "illegal" immigrants & deport them to Rwanda, regardless of whether those people were from Rwanda at all (Rwanda scheme)
the scheme has been cancelled but those detained remain impacted, and deportations are likely to spike again as the government response to the "fascist riots targeting immigrants" is turning out to be "we need to deport more immigrants, so the fascists don't feel the need to attack them" . Abysmal.
