Hello anyone, me again making a post I'm sure nobody will ever look at. We look at our sites and we see the problems, and when we do we accept the problems it seems. We look around, we think "Man, wouldn't it be better if another site like this one popped up, but better?" and then we do nothing to actually create or find such a site. And why? A weird catch 22 that everyone is guilty of. "This is where everyone is".
See, that right there is the problem, there are children growing up right now that will use twitter or Facebook while never once knowing what MySpace or Friendster once were. There will be Discord users who have long since forgotten the age of Skype, Teamspeak, and Yahoo Messenger. Why is that you may ask? Is it because they're simply too lazy to look? No, it's because nothing else is "Popping off" yet, and that's the problem.
People have forgotten that Twitter was once just 2 Libertarians trying to make their dumb thing look good. They forgot that Facebook was once "Sexual Harassment, the website", and the only evidence left of that one is an old episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Hell, Youtube started as a dating site. I bet they don't even remember Angelfire or Geocities. What do we use in place of those? I dunno.
So yeah, moral of the story, don't wait for the next big thing to pop off, look around for the most arbitrary of places, shill said places, and make the big thing happen. It's the only way to be sure.
