good morning!

i'm ROU. or Micah or 13sparx13 or What Gravitas? or perhaps one of a series of many one-off usernames basically lost to time by now. my hobbies are primarily the creation and observation of art (ie the medium agnostic term) or tools to create more art.

the cover to ROU's "unrealized", a 2-bit 64x64 image depicting a long-haired figure tucked cozily under a blanket most notably, i'm a musician, with most of my music on bandcamp, though i've (glacially) begun the process of moving work over to itch (of course, stuff is also on streaming). there are also a few tracks hidden away exclusively on cybergrunge. i also dabble in visual art, but unfortunately i can't give a good centralized link to that because it usually makes its way onto my private twitter; you can catch it occasionally on instagram, but from this point forward it'll definitely get posted here as well so unless you live in the louisville area and want to watch my story for shows i'm playing at, i wouldn't bother. final plug in this god-forsaken paragraph i think will be youtube, which is sort of a mixed bag of music and dumb joke videos.

as a visual artist, while i have interest in traditional techniques, my brainworms really shine when it comes to procedural and glitch (which is really just a subset of procedural tbh) art. you can find a quick guide on my favourite techniques here, and you can see a few examples of my glitch art here: a field of nuclear-warning-architecture spikes; the entire scene has been rendered monochrome by databending, with some strange distortion as well screenshot of the anime nichijou; it is barely recognizable, heavily sheared to one side and full of rainbow snow/noise an emoticon of a pretty girl wearing a surgical mask sits above the word "VIOLENCE" spelled out in VHS-style pixelated font, superimposed over six versions of the same image of a girl looking away from the viewer each in a different colour; all hard edges have a rainbow afterimage and the image is somewhat distorted i'm working on getting some analog equipment built and hopefully i'll be able to do live video glitch art soon.

i've dabbled in other mediums, but nothing that i've quite finished. what i'd particularly love to get into right now is videogames, but those tend to be a lot longer to put together than a single song or image which really causes trouble with my adhd, but one of these days, i swear!

actually i've forgotten that tags exist! formal hello and greetings to the copopulous! i am eight and i am a man of many strange interests. i enjoy cartoons, particularly children's cartoons, and specifically cartoon network cartoons. (no cn real in this house!... although i like that too...)

my primary active interest as far as media goes is bfdi, however i have... perhaps, sort of, found a little bit of a tiny interest in, perhaps what one would describe as housetrapped. indeed.

moving on, i am a programmer, digital artist, animator, and writer! i work on both otherworldly ravenous beast (on youtube) and sparklecare hospital (not on youtube)

spaghetti is my favourite food, milk is my favourite beverage, green is my favourite colour and i will defend its creativity 'til the day i die

I have been unexpectedly paroled from the cute person quarantine so now it's time for me to try to introduce myself.

  • I grew up on the internet so shitposts are bestposts
  • Amateur photographer (got a nikon D3500 that I'm learning to use by bruteforce)
  • From the UK but you wouldn't be able to tell based on my sleep pattern
  • Apprentice boob haver and recently retired boymoder, although not super fem
  • Pale and ginger so I am NOT living da vida loca this summer
  • Chronic bingewatcher.. It's honestly embarrasing how much I rewatch comfort shows

Mostly you can expect silly little jokes and the occasional picture if I happen to be particularly proud of it (like the bees in my rough little header image moasic)

Not really sure what else to say except that I am LOVING all this css and svg tomfoolery and hope grow a few brain wrinkles soon and throw my hat in the ring
