Will this be the social media I use?

While social media - and the Internet in general - has become increasingly meaningless, I'm hoping that this venue has found a better way. I followed @aurahack here, because she seems to know what she's talking about. Then, I saw @jeffgerstmann arrive, so I'm hopeful for the future.

I've dabbled in plenty of social media platforms - even built my own site briefly - but I've never felt I had much to add to public discourse. I don't feel the need to share every thought I think.

Maybe I'll get inspired here, though. Who can know what the future holds?

mobile game enjoyer has entered the chat

Hey I'm in!

Just introducing myself: I'm Campbell and I've been playing and writing about primarily mobile games on iOS since 2013. Not sure what I'm going to use cohost for but I have it in my mind for now to probably post further games thoughts here.

Mobile is a weird landscape with an overwhelming amount of low-quality and/or predatory releases, but I try to sift through all of that to let people know great little games they might not otherwise know about. I can't lie though, I definitely play a lot of Genshin Impact, too.

Intro post

Hello! I'm Jacob, He/him, pushing 30, a Black scientist and former musician who honestly is online too much lol. I've made these types of posts on a bunch of different websites, I suppose this is where I list a bunch of interests/the things I'll be talking about on here. Different websites do different things, I'll be honest this ain't replacing my twitter addiction lol but I'll probably use it to post longer thoughts that don't fit well being separated up into a thread.

These are the things I like to talk about:

  • ✨Videogames✨
  • Anime, especially Gundam (listen to Great Gundam Project)
  • Cool art, I will be reposting (rechosting?) cool art every time I see it
  • Books! I mostly read scifi and fantasy, but I've been getting into more and more non-fiction lately. Maybe I'll stick a review on here if it's good enough.
  • This is a hard one, but the internet in general? Or at least humans and their relationship to it. That's broad lol but if I have a weird long thought I want to write out it's usually about that.
  • Music, one of my hobbies is finding good music and I love to share and steal recommendations from anywhere I can find them. Math rock and interesting flavors of pop music to the front.

Basically no one I know in real life or online knows about this website lol so would love to grab some mutuals to keep things interesting on here.
