The vampire stands back in the shadows, shielding himself from the light

HELLO! My name is Dorian, but I also go by Desmond or Des. I'm an amateur visual artist (currently participating in artfight btw) I also sew, mainly cute plushes, mainly patterns from Choly Knight. During the day I substitute teach.

I love movies, games (video + tabletop), and I'm a big reader. I'll probably post pictures or quotes from what I'm currently reading. Maybe a screenshot LP like I saw someone mention in this tag, bc I miss that form of LP? But who knows. I'm very shy but I love attention. A land of contrasts...

As you could guess, I love vampires, vampirism, and undeath of all kinds. I think it is genuinely very very very cool and interesting to think about. I love to think about a scary monster and then consider "but what if it was nice, and my friend."

My icon rn is Morbius not ironically but bc I genuinely love him, the fact that the movie was so bad and they cast that dipshit to be in it is a personal attack on me by the marvel cinematic universe, but I will gladly tell you how much I love the comics Dr. Michael Morbius, PhD MD.

I am blattellidae on twitter, and femboydracula on tumblr. Feel free to follow both or either. There will be a lot of reposting from those soon, anyway.

See ya.

Hello! Glad to be here. Given how many people I parasocially know/follow were jumping onboard, and given my preferences towards small-social, text-based spaces; this seemed like it'd fit me well.

We'll see how this goes thinking about interacting with social media in a more contributory mode, I'm used to mostly boosting things I find neat. Let the #otter-posting begin!

(Also, if someone has questions about #web-performance, I might be able to help, though I'm not sure how much demand there will be here)

Bonus, have my cats. This isn't their most photogenic moment, but it captures their personalities well.
