This might be a controversial take, but I think the "cultural appropriation" thing was blown way out of proportion and actually set us back when it comes to racial and cultural unity
That's not to say there isn't some validity to it obviously there are ignorant people who mock and belittle other cultures amd treat them like costumes but a lot of white people misunderstood what cultural appropriation was and would punish like any cross cultural experiences and thats really sad cause so many people I know love sharing their cultures
Experiencing and taking part in other cultures is literally the best and I love learning about other cultures and traditions and participating in them with my friends
