Kagami derails Aomine’s train of thought by waving a hand in front of his face. “Yo, stop thinking so hard. You’ll hurt yourself.”
“You’re one to talk, dumbass. You’re barely pulling the grades to stay on the team.” Aomine snaps back.
Kagami bristles. But before he can defend himself, Himuro lets out a low, “Ooo, burn.”
And, Aomine can’t help himself from fist bumping Himuro over the table.
Before he and Himuro were forced to interact by Kagami, Aomine was pretty sure he was never going to get along with the former Yosen player. Himuro’s outward persona reminded him of Akashi and Midorima - two people he respected, but wouldn’t go out of his way to hang out with. Then, Himuro revealed that under that pretty face was a petty streak a mile wide, and the two quickly bonded over giving Kagami shit, if only because the redhead’s reactions were always over-the-top.
Kagami gives Himuro a look over the betrayal, and Himuro quirks his one visible eyebrow back. It reminds him so much of his and Satsuki’s wordless arguments over the years that he can’t stop from smiling.
Kagami - who has learned to pick his battles when it comes to Aomine and Himuro being on the same team - lets it go.
”I regret introducing you two sometimes.”
