Since OCtober ends on Halloween, I felt it would be appropriate to dedicate this day to a classification of being that is not well known as they have only appeared in certain locations and are generally elusive beings. Enigma class beings have not often been studied as any attempt to capture these beings for study has ended horrifically. All information about these creatures comes from documentation of sightings of strange creatures and a reconciliation of similar accounts that have brought about a classification of these horrific creatures.

• General Attributes of Enigma Class beings
  • Observation of specific details is almost impossible as visually they appear to be constantly changing patterns if a pattern or color is visible at all. The only constant is their general shape and size.
  • They appear to have the ability to channel magic in some ways
  • Almost all encounters involving Enigma Class beings have ended in hostility if directly interacted with.
  • Known areas for consistent Enigma Class sightings
    • On Romulus, the Asian continent has seen the most occurrence of these beings. They are generally referred to as some form of “Shadows”. There have also been sightings elsewhere, but not as frequent.
    • On Remus, the most common area for them to appear is in the mountainous areas of Moonbeacon, where they are generally referred to as “Keepers” and any location where they are sighted is generally regarded as a forbidden zone as they are seen as protectors of sacred areas.
• Class A Enigmas - Varmint Class - Small creatures that aid larger ones
  • A1 Type - Crawler
    • Quadruped beings about the size of a rabbit that have long appendages similar to crab legs. Have been seen to be able to crawl up walls. Attacks with appendages and can burn through the bottom of its body which is how it absorbs subsistence.
  • A2 Type - Hound
    • Quadruped being about the size of a large dog. Hunts in multiples and known to ambush. Notably agile with rather high jumping height. Attacks with magically-sharpened claws. Can bite and electrify the target.
  • A3 Type - Vampire
    • Winged being the size of an eagle. Hangs from ceilings and can silence all sounds within a 10-meter radius. Can use claws to attack and attach itself to a target to drain its blood.
  • A4 Type - Slime
    • Shapeless being the size of a small dog. Does not seem to have a set shape and can set itself to any size. Can pounce and burn a target to eat them.
• Class B Enigmas - Soldier Class - Larger and more intelligent creatures that seem to control Class A Enigmas types
  • B1 Type - Worker
    • Bipedal being the size of a human. Acts human in locomotion. Can attack using magic bolts it casts from its hands or slashing attacks from claws. Has been seen to grab weapons and use them.
  • B2 Type - Beast
    • Quadruped being the size of a large wolf. Can shift into a biped form. Attacks via breath or via claws. Notably agile.
  • B3 Type - Hunter
    • Bipedal being the size of a human. Has a notable hunch. Has crawling abilities similar to a Crawler. Attacks via magic or with claws.
• Class C Enigmas - Officer Class - Enimgas that seems to be more advanced forms of Soldier Class Enigmas
  • C1 Type - Hypnos
    • Believed to be a Worker type that can completely disassociate anyone who looks at it. Two instances have been documented that describe a sensation that causes all senses of the person to go away. One account described “When I looked at it, the whole world went away and it was as if I was inside a kaleidoscope with the sound of nothingness. When I was knocked to my feet, I was suddenly returned to my senses”
  • C2 Type - Lucifer
    • Similar to a Hypnos type, but with two differences in that its effects only require being within line of sight and rather than disassociate, it causes the target to hallucinate. One account noted that it was likely spared by the being due to their inability to use magic.
  • C3 Type - Manticore
    • Similar to a Beast type but about the size of a Grizzly Bear. It could channel magic and was notably intelligent around its prey. Seemed to be very selective about its target and didn’t harm any non-combatants.
• Class D Enigmas - ????
  • Based on stories people have about enigma sightings, it’s likely there are classes even more substantial than Class C Enigmas.

Gen was born in Cancun, one of the main cities of the Kingdom of Flying Lights. As a child, Gen was commonly told stories and myths of flying dragons which inspired him to be a pilot when their father brought them to a flying show. After joining the LOTRA International Corps as a pilot, he got his chance to fly some of the advanced jets that the Lo'Chians were able to provide. The thrill they got from flying these jets led him to become a stunt pilot when their service was up and they currently work as a pilot flying aircraft used for filming and for doing stunts.

Isn't science a bit of an art form when you truly think about it?

Which language would you like to speak fluently?

Probably some of the Polynesian languages since those islands are so beautiful that I'd love to be able to live there for a few years at least.

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

Injustice in never really stopped just with harshness or softness. It really depends on the situation.

What's your favorite dessert?

I love desserts with spice to them. I love a sweet that fights back.

If you could be brilliant in one subject, which would you choose?

I wish I was better at mathematics so that I could maybe work on engineering my own plane. I just let the eggheads do the fancy math.

What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

It's not a specific place, but I love the sight of cities at night from up high. Just looking down at a big city like The Steinwald or New York from kilometers in the air is just breathtaking.

What's your favorite fast food meal?

It's hard to have a favorite when there's so many options. The fast food model has expanded on both planets and I just like seeing cultures try and fit their food into the fast food mold.

What do you dream your life will be like in 10 years?

As long as I get to be in the sky, life's already my dream.

Which of your personality traits would you like to change?

I'm probably a bit too much of a thrill seeker but you kind of have to be in my line of work. However, I don't think the higher-ups liked that as much when I did small transit. You'd be surprised though the amount of old folks that liked it when I treated a Cessna like a Phantom II.

Anything that puts me behind the yoke. Piloting is just cool, man.

For the entry on my birthday, it’s time for me to dive into Lolo’s species, the Lo’chian Dragon. Here’s a list of facts about the species.

• Lo’chian Dragons in general
  • The name Lo’cian comes from the term Lo’chi which is Latin for Loginquitas Chimera due to their reputation for isolation and their appearance
  • They are the only species to natively come from both Romulus and Remus.
• Lo’chian physiology
  • Biologically the closest species they resemble are dragons, although they exhibit traits of other forms of mammal as well. Depending on location, lagomorphic, canine, feline, or rodent features can be notable.
  • About 75% of Lo’chians require that they be within an area that has high radionyx radiation. This radiation is not harmful to other beings.
    • Those who rely on the radiation are classified as Terran Lo’chians. Those who do not are classified as Stellaran Lo’chians.
  • Unlike other species which have a magic capacity rate between 40-60%. 100% of Lo’chians have magic capacity.
  • They have no assigned gender and will match the sexual characteristics at birth of whoever birthed them. They have the ability to shift sexual characteristics as needed.
  • The fact that their eyes match those of Hybrids has led to the hypothesis that Hybrids share some genetic similarity to Lo’chians or that Lo’chians are in fact some sort of natural Hybrid class.
  • They have the ability to shapeshift to other species. Stellaran Lo’chians have used this ability to blend into other societies by portraying other species.

  • Lo’chians see themselves as forerunners and a continuation of life that existed before.
  • They believe that they have connections to cross The Planar Divide. While research has been done by them for as long as Lo’chian history can detail, there is still no concrete details about anything regarding The Divide.
    • In fact, it’s generally considered a bad idea to personally try and cross The Divide for knowledge as many who have personally tried to cross specifically to gain knowledge of the beings beyond The Divide have died suddenly from simultaneous stroke and heart attack.

  • 90% of Lo’chians live in one of several areas that have high radionyx radiation. They are generally protective and do not allow non-Lo’chians to live there. Here is a list of the colonies in no particular order.

    • This is at least the idea. While Lo’chians have never actively colonized any other culture intentionally, their influence has absolutely shaped cultural direction.
    • It is believed that Lo’chians have been responsible for many assassinations of world leaders such as Andrew Jackson, Otto Von Bismarck, Joseph Stalin, Mobutu Sese Seko, as well as many others.
  • Their understanding of magic has led to many technological advancements. They have networking capabilities that would match our current technology.
  • Due to the mystery around them and their pushback in particular against European and other colonialism, they are a common boogeyman and enemy of several states.
    • In order to combat this, the LOCHIA (LO’CHian Intelligence Agency) was created to collect information against any potential attack against Lo’chians both in a colony and abroad as well as to stop attacks against Lo’chians.
    • This organization also helps out with intelligence agencies of countries the Lo’chians have allied themselves with.
  • Several countries have formed an alliance with the Lo’chians in order to prevent colonization and to protect others from colonization. Some notable members include
