#look at this bullshit

A Wizard (Necromancer) who finished medical school without tracking to become a Cleric, their staunch disapproval of the Gods preventing them from ever bending the knee, and never being spiritually open enough to accept the Druidic paths.

They become a Necromancer out of their failure to use arcane magic to heal or raise others, living with a deep disappointment for themselves and their creations, as they hold no misgivings about what they've made or done, rather than the trite disillusion or wilful ignorance that typically comes with these tropes.

They yearn to find a way to heal without requiring the bit and the bridle and the yoke of the Gods. Surely, somewhere in the Arcane, there is a way to knit flesh and bone, to draw the soul back to the body, to restore that which once was, without resorting to this foul mockery of life?

They are also, like most medical professionals I've ever known, grimly practical. Foul mockery of life though they may be, bodies that can't be resurrected/healed aren't really being used by anyone anymore, so why waste them? Maybe there's some rebranding that can be done as well. Get rid of the stigma and all that.

Some great legs on this idea, especially if stepping outside of D&D5e/etc. PF2e would be a GREAT system to explore different directions for this character.
