The single cover for “Micro Bruise” is a sort of nod to Nine Inch Nail’s “Pretty Hate Machine” cover. Bearing similar pallet and ‘visual-essence’.
The song is an exercise in navigating a nearly static rhythmic base and exploring different stylistic approaches within that boundary.
A lot of cool sounds heard are actually bass guitar (provided by the incomparable James Bradshaw).
The video is an ambitious selection of eclectic flashing nightmare images. If it makes you anxious, it’s meant to make you anxious.
