funky little guy is now rigged... gonna crank out some animations over the next few days, which SHOULD just need to be the following:
- step forward (left foot)
- step forward (right foot)
- step backward (left foot)
- step forward (right foot)
- jump
- maybe landing and turning (though i think turning would be hard because he doesn't turn very fast) if i'm feeling ambitious. i don't know if i'm feeling ambitious
coding-wise at this point the movement system is fully done, so i just need to implement the points system which will be SUPER easy, and then otherwise it's just modeling out all the shit he's gonna destroy (should also be easy bc it's gonna be itty-bitty low poly) and level design! think the goal is to get this turned in for game off 2023, which works since i started it this month and it also basically fits the theme more or less lol. my roommate and i are also gonna crank something out for 1-bit jam this month so that satisfies my loose goal of a short game every two weeks-ish for this month
haven't rigged/animated since last semester but feeling very much like a gamedev generalist right now lol
