over the past couple weeks I've wanted to design a new sona -- not that I don't love Ten, the eldritch horror lady I use as my avatar anywhere I maintain an online creative presence, but there's intentionally a layer of separation between her and myself. she's my artistic influences and the things I'm enthusiastic about all rolled into one design, and is obviously the avatar/"pngtuber" I'm going to use in my video essays when all her art is finished. however, this design-I'm thinking her name is Em?-is basically just a traditional self-insert based on my personal gender feelings and how I see my own vibes. I'm thinking I'm gonna start using her as my stand-in for myself whenever I draw myself, and as soon as I actually have money again I am ABSOLUTELY commissioning somebody to draw me a proper icon. I'm just really psyched to finally have a sona design that feels really personally and uniquely 'me' without any lore or specific ties to anything but how I feel about my own gender stuff!
