His name is Skipper and I love to gush about him and my other characters. I want to eventually make a comic but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Work and life likes to get in the way of things. A guy can dream tho lmao

The oa are born very immature and spend the first 10 months of their lives in their mother's pouch. After that time they will begin poking their head out of the pouch and then leave the pouch. For the next 3-4 months they will gradually spend more and more time outside, until they're unable to fit inside anymore. During this time the mother is the primary, and often sole caretaker, though the fathers can sometimes be involved (since males don't have a pouch they will carry around a baby bag to satisfy that need).

Once the baby has been fully weaned their fathers will play a much larger role in childcare, and are often the most significant caretakers.
