sketchbook pages from earlier this year. I was experimenting with drawing with marker over gouache/watercolor and letting the marker blend & texture the colors. at this point I was in pain a lot, physically, with undiagnosed fluctuating physical health challenges and also side effects of psych drugs. and a lot of my sketchbook pages also have messy journaling trying to make sense of that! for now I'm just posting the art. the drawing on the right, I did while I was on the phone with a friend. we were talking about adopting cats and also about highways. how highways could be something different.
