When I was preparing for the issue, I had remembered Maria-sama ga Miteru and just had to do something with Catholic high school lesbians. Naturally, I also listened to "All the Things She Said" by t.A.T.u.
The color scheme I chose was for the the tri-color violet rather than the common violet hat I named this piece after. Naturally, this is a nod to Sappho.
