#nonbinary Transfemme

With clueless Cis people:

I am a woman, I use she/her pronouns. I was born boy, I am now girl. This is more common than you think. Don’t eat that, you don’t know where it’s been. No, I am not a boy just because I have a sigh. Let’s try this again, tell me where I lost you. Jingle jingle look at the keys. Do you need a nap?

With Trans people and the cis people who have put in work to understand gender:

Honestly I’m not sure how I would define my gender. But I think I'm more fluid about it. Like for me some days gender is: Girl, but in a way that actually kinda gets gender from being specifically a trans girl, and bottom dysphoria is a whole can of worms. But I want to be femme and glamorous as a curse and able to switch between soft sapphic and terrifying goth witch in the woods.

And then some days gender is: Somewhere in the realm of thought, there is a negative space between the concept of femininity and the dreams of a dying goddess. In that negative space there is a planet that is formed from the condensed tears of those who chose a path of suffering for greater reward. On that planet, on the shores of a lake made of liquified hope, there is a species that has emerged. They are a kind and gentle people, who subsist on the hope and use crystalline structures made of laughter in the face of darkness to create their tools. They are preyed upon by a hive mind of creatures that are part insect, part cephalopod, part reptile, and yet none of those things, dredged from the mind of an artist who was fed nightmares for a millenium. These creatures have entities that a human tongue may call a queen. Those queens are sapients. My gender is the thing they pray to.

And then some days gender is: just a little guy. Just a creature doing its best. Not a boy, not a man. Pls give snack, or I bite you. May still bite. I swallowed a bug.
