it blows my mind how, whenever you say something "negative" about the thing as a whole, some people inevitably show up and act as if it's somehow attacking them personally

like, who the hell sees something like "hey this whole system is built upon exploitation and is already becoming harmful, maybe we should think twice before participating and popularizing it" and decides to reply with "no! no!!! i'm the good guy here and i've personally done nothing wrong, stop harassing me this instant!" ???
