introducing nys-style polyphasic sleep
step 1: have cat that will sleep on you
step 2: fall asleep on couch trapped by said cat
step 3: wake up 3-4 hours later neck hurty
step 4: transfer self to bed
step 4a: listen to complaints from cat, acknowledge them and explain need to not fuck up your back again
step 5: sleep till alarm
step 6: become sleepy when you see your cats sleeping bc you have associated sleep with them so now you can social sleep
step 6a: explain why you “slept through” an on-call page at 1pm
if you follow these step you will gain valuable cuddle time with your cat for the low price of new neck issues. plus sometimes cat will sleep silly and you get to see it.
