An character illustration I did sometime ago, featuring my original character Zullu in her casual wears, looking pretty as part of her character.
I still consider this artwork as a "landmark" of sorts to whenever I need gauge how better I had become over time, I had used every neat tricks that I knew at the time in order to push my art skills to it's limits, highlight goes to the coloring, as I made extensive use of the Gradient Map to adjust the colors to make it more lively, ESPECIALLY for the skin.
There are, of course, things I think I could have done better, like some aspect of the character's anatomy, although not bad, could have used a little bit more... "beef", or details, given how tight looking those clothes look... speaking of clothes, the coat could have used some more... uh, fixes.
There are always things to improve, no doubt about it, but that's the beauty of art: do some work, be proud of it and then do better next time!
By the way, I'm loving not being limited on what I can write. :)
