My art style bend attempt! For those who don’t know, the rules of art style bend are you ask friends or followers what the most distinctive traits of your art are, and then you have to draw something using none of those traits.

My banned traits were thick line art, cell shading, and forms / character designs that look grounded in a 3D space. So what better way to force me into 2D than to design a character I literally can’t make 3D reference for!
I’ve been calling her Quail because of her helmet plume, and she’s a deity of both astronomical and physical space.

I’m beyond happy with how this came out! Especially considering I went into this with no mental image of what I wanted her design to look like or how I’d handle layers and effects and all that.

there was a miku figurine i saw in a cute dress and i wanted to put one of my ocs in it, so i did! yaaay

there will always be old OCs that I can draw from memory even if not accurately, but the good thing about them never having references is that it doesn't really matter
