The Shame of Defeat...
Got stabbed, almost, right way, then was unable to do much else.
Good first outing. XD
Woke up the next day after 'The Stabbing,' and got a hardy breakfast, plus, a pep-talk from her old trainer.
I suppose that's why she's called Fortitude, as it takes a lot to keep her down.
Continued the day with some chats with the team, and got a very confusing explation to how one member can bend reality around themselves, and others.
But then, it was off to the mission to stop The Chem Baron.
(Who, incidentally, is made out of some chemical gas, and couldn't be punched!)
Mission went off to a bad start, as one teammate just phased out of reality, but in an odd turn, I just, kind of, called a time-out, and we chatted about his plan.
After a bit of back-and-forth, we, The Connectors, trapped The Baron in a supped-up industrial vacuum.
With the mission successful, the team went back home, but not really any stronger.
The one, in which, Fortitude sits around not doing a whole lot. =P
While I was in-charge of handing The Chem Baron over to the proper handlers, everyone else ran off to continue the adventure. (I didn't mention it in the last post, but The Baron was putting people into big pods, and one just flew off in a random direction.)
I am slowly becoming 'The one that texts everyone to make sure things are working out,' but that's an important role, and it's not like I can fly, or sprint off at super-speed. XD
Given this is a bit of a short post, probably a good idea to introduce the rest of The Connectors. (Named, somewhat ironicially, as our first outing involved dropping a bridge on a teammate.)
-
Karima - Disgruntled the person, and has gravity manipulation powers. Taking more of a leadership postition on my reccomendation.
-
Tuatha - An idealistic new hero whose powers were passed down to her by her predecessor, Tuatha (The First, as I'll say) a hero of the Celtic Pantheon who needs to drum up some new followers. She's strong, fast, and has a magic sword.
-
Tachyon - The glass is always half-full with him, and he has the ability to pull in aspects from other realities/timelines. (it's a bit confusing to the rest of us.)
-
Drosera - A Ranadaevian (humaniod frog warriors that travel around from planet to planet) that came to Earth. They're tough, jumps good, and has a kit of sci-fi tech, including a cool sword.
I think that covers the team pretty well, and ends today's recap.
The one, in which, Fortitude is sad the whole time...
So, due to a team meeting going very off-track (And a fist fight breaking out) , Fortitude got hit with some pretty solid emotional punches that just ruined her day.
Following that, the team had an evaluation of our heroics so far, and we failed pretty hard on that too.
So, we got sent to brand managing consultant, and things went even more downhill for the team.
Some people outright left the building, a table was smashed to bits, and team cohesion was at an all-time low. (The sushi for lunch was pretty tasty, however.)
As for where things go from there, we'll have to find out next time!
