3: he thinks you are funny
if you tell a joke to M and he laughs it is likely that one of the following three reasons listed is his cause for laughing:
1: he is only pretending to laugh
2: he thinks your joke is lackluster
3: he rewrote a funnier version of your joke in his head and is currently laughing at that
