living in the desert means that I don't see a lot of signs when the seasons change, so I'm a big fan of this one tree that our neighbors have. It encroaches on our backyard and also turns yellow when it gets cold enough; when that happens i can see it from my bathroom window so i know to go look at it. it's one of my favorite parts of this time of year.
