Title to be determined.

More story/worldbuilding dumps of ideas i haven't put into motion yet.
This time, OCs! For a story that originated from the same source as Riptide Manor and evolved alongside it. Perhaps i should tell that story sometime as well...

Sanna, the Golden Wolf

Sanna is driven. Stoic and strong-willed, curt and blunt, but highly empathetic.
She cannot stand to see others suffer, and she admits this freely, but it is never her weakness.
She uses her anger at the injustice of the world to drive her forward, as a fighter and as a healer.

The world is cracked at the edges. Wild, violent magic festers in pockets beneath the surface, and those with the strength to fight back are in high demand.
This is how she makes her mark.
On slow days, when the winds are calm, she serves her community as a healer, open to all no matter their station in life.
Those who can pay for those who cannot.

The Hawk

I don't have a name for the other two characters, unfortunately, but their personalities are no less developed. That said, much of this concept is still in flux! While writing this, i actually decided to change this character's species.

The Hawk was once a soldier, then a guard, then a wanderer when he could no longer stand to look upon the place of his birth.
He considers this a weakness in himself, though many would beg to differ.
His mind bears scars that will never heal, flighty and anxious, never at ease.

And yet, he feels he must make use of his deadly skills.
There is so much to be opposed, so much to be protected.

Along the way, he finds companionship, and perhaps some peace.
He learns magic, not of the aggressive kind that he knew as a child, but softer and more subtle. He learns to use his fire for warmth, not to burn.

The Seal

A visitor from the deep, icy south, far removed in so many ways from the friends he adventures with. He travels the world seeking discovery and awe, and maybe a friendly challenge against some not-so-friendly monsters.

As a Seal, he is less dextrous on land than his fellows, but he makes up for it with a talent for Blue magic, controlling motion and allowing him a measure of freedom unlike any other, though not without limits.

He's not oblivious, by any stretch. There is suffering, and loss, but one must find joy in what they can. I hope i can do justice to that without writing him into something more macabre than is my intent.
Beneath the surface, however, there is an undercurrent of resentment for these circumstances. That drive to undo the damage, to help those in need.

The heartbreak and loss never stops stinging.
