...one of the most noteworthy differences between near-surface dwelling Fae and Deepfae is their UV resistance. Or, lack thereof. Normal Fae have some level of exposure to the sun from holes in cavern roofs or occasional surface visits, though their generally subterranean nature leads to them burning easily in sunlight. Deepfae, conversely, having evolved miles underground in near darkness, have virtually no resistance to sunlight and burn almost immediately. A clear, sunny day is a death sentence to an unprepared Deepfae.
