The graffiti artist known as "Hazmat" has garnered some fame in the city as a relatively mysterious individual. All that's known about her is how she interacts with others when caught in the act by other artists, and that private security for several different company buildings have tried - and failed - to catch or even ID her. Very bold and abrasive to most who she even suspects of disrespecting her, she can come off as very hostile, but is ultimately just tetchy about the possibility of having her artistic prowess stifled. All this to say, she did NOT sign up for what she'd gotten roped into.
One day, she'd come across the ruins of a fight in the outskirts of her hometown, the shattered remains of different security drones littering the ground. These drones usually all used the same AI housed in a grey cone, but one stood out by being painted with yellow and black hazard stripes. Picking it up to examine it, she was startled not only to find it had a voicebox installed into it, or a visual sensor as well... but that it very calmly and casually asked for a ride somewhere.
Over time, she learned that the AI's name was Nubus... and that's about all they could say since their very existence was classified, as was the actual designation they went by since Nubus was more what they called themself. On their travel, the two started to become friends, but found themselves targeted by a number of groups seeking out one, the other, or both. Between Hazmat's improvised weaponry & quick thinking, and Nubus's ability to hijack drones & any firearms they carry, they managed to fight their way out, but leave themselves wondering why they've become such a hot-button topic. In the end, they discover a common link between their disparate lives is an underground radio operator who seems to be keeping tabs on both of them... and the duo are bound and determined to find out why.
