this will only make sense to my fellow Tattered World players but: I think Lucent has Gloryglint energy

to absolutely no one's surprise but mine the same quality that I use to write letters to Gloryglint has been coming in very handy for writing messages as Dr. Ashveil

hinged levels of the Lucents that currently exist

• RDM!Lucent: feral. enthusiastic. eagerly violent. it wouldn't be quite right to describe him as "hinged" but there are better adjectives than "unhinged" to use for him
• SGE!Lucent: capable of passing as a mildly eccentric member of most societies (or as a perfectly normal Sharlayan) under most circumstances. becomes progressively less hinged the longer he's awake, or the more he's excited. unfortunately, he's very prone to both insomnia and excitement
• FL!Lucent, especially in later years: the door was violently ripped off of its hinges and thrown into the Unterzee a long while back. he upholds his professional ethics but otherwise makes no effort to hide that fact
