this will only make sense to my fellow Tattered World players but: I think Lucent has Gloryglint energy

actually, this isn't totally accurate: Gloryglint knows she's creeping people out with her fascination towards morbid things and embraces it. Lucent knows that most people get creeped out by knowing the morbid details of how bodies fail and does his best to keep it to himself in polite company, but he doesn't totally get why other people feel that way, and sometimes he forgets in his enthusiasm

I think I should have Lucent's boots have heels.... I can give him lil a Gender and no one can stop me

like these heels specifically, on the specific boots he uses (Gliderskin Boots of Healing). the kind of heel that's relatively lowkey and something you could possibly deceive yourself into thinking is "practical" (but isn't)

no one has made this specific mod but I can daydream about it

don't mind me, just daydreaming about Lucent having the "just crawled out of hell and ready to murder god with a butter knife" energy

a decade or so of living in Sharlayan means that Lucent's picked up a lot of language related to its patron god, some more colorful than others

compare and contrast:

Lucent: "Well, the river of knowledge only flows forward and all that... I may not be able to change the past, but it's still my responsibility as a Sharlayan and a sage to help those who [redacted NPC] harmed in the present."

Lucent: "By Thaliak's naked thighs--"
someone: "Lucent, must you use such irreverent--"
Lucent: "BY THE SCHOLAR'S TITS!!!"

(he would get along great with Margrat I think)

playing In Stars and Time just made me realize how much worldbuilding potential there is in the way people Say Things... I know it's not canon at all but I really wanna invent a bunch of Sharlayan-Specific Swears and Sayings

for example:

• "drowning hells" (as opposed to "flaming hells")
• "scalding" (in place of "bleeding," "flaming")
• "by wisdom's waters" (self-explanatory)
• and my favorite VERY specific one: "pissing in the River of Knowledge" (said about someone whose ideas you Disrespect)
