The reason Chainsaw man is so good imo is because of how easy it is to imagine myself in Denji's place and how I completely understand his feelings
Like being abused and treated horribly your whole life and then suddenly receiving kindness and love for the first time but still not understanding what to do with it
Not only feeling like everyone hates you but so many truly despise you for things you have no control over
Being so easily manipulated by even the tiniest forms affection
Being burned so badly by it you're scared to open up again
