i read all of “Equal Rites” by Terry Pratchett in a couple of hours over the holiday weekend, basically reading nonstop. i really liked it! so i wanted to draw Esk. i know the point of the book is about gender but i think Esk has capital “G” Gender and idk what capacity that exists in but i know mr pratchett would want me to interpret her like that. Esk is trans. probably.

also, 8th child of a family full of boys, she’s gonna get the same haircut all her brothers get, she’s going to get her hand-me-downs regardless of gender because that’s how you do it when you have more than one child.
