life advice: when someone is speaking in generalizations, but you're a statistical outlier and dont like them painting with that brush:

Are you doing the behavior they're describing? No? Okay.

Why did you think it applied to you enough to yell at them about it? Everyone uses generalizations. It's an information-compression mechanism so you don't spend nine sentences every sentence itemizing just what the exceptions are. If you did take that time, everyone would ignore you for the sheer verbiosity.

But by diving in and getting angry about it, you're then putting words in their mouth and it will never end well
